Experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this position

  • BS or MS in Bioengineering, Chemistry, Biology or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience.
  • Ability to take ownership of QC goals and projects with excellent attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and to multi-task.
  • Ability to interact constructively with co-workers, with excellent verbal & written communication skills a must.
  • Experience using MS Word and Excel.

Additional preferred experience and knowledge (not required for employment consideration)

  • Experience running PCR, ELISAs, and/or rapid tests preferred.
  • Data analysis experience preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot assays preferred.

Job duties include

  • Routine testing and data analysis for in-process, release, and stability testing of PCR, ELISA, and rapid test kits.
  • Design and perform basic troubleshooting experiments, as they pertain to Manufacturing. 
  • Perform shipment checks, label inspections, and bacterial contamination testing.
  • Identify and document process deviations as they occur in manufacturing and QC.
  • Revise and review manufacturing and quality related standard operating procedures (SOPs). 

Work environment information

Position responsibilities include work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab (BSL-2) and a humidity-controlled environment.

Wage/Benefits information

Position Pay Range: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour. Starting wage offered will depend upon relevant experience and qualifications of selected candidate. 

Employees (and their families) are able to enroll in medical, dental, vision insurance, as well as voluntarily opt in for supplemental life, critical illness, and/or accident insurance. Employees are covered by basic life insurance and long-term disability insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k and/or Roth IRA retirement savings plans and Flexible Savings Account (FSA). Employees accrue 2-weeks of paid vacation per year and a total of eleven paid holidays throughout the year, which includes the holiday observance of winter break at year end (the workdays between Christmas Day and New Year's Day).
