Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver discipline specific engineering services that meet Worley Consulting, its clients and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform engineering assignments on projects that meet project requirements on time and within specified budget.
  • Perform discipline specific engineering services such as:

oContribute to required engineering calculations including cable and equipment sizing, power system studies, grounding studies. etc

ocontribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions; and

oassist with the preparation of designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and design reports.

oCommunicate effectively with the discipline team and project stakeholders.

  • Establish and maintain good working relationships within Worley, with its clients and other stakeholders.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance if required.
  • Prepare electrical deliverables, including but not limited to:
  • Design Deliverables (single line diagrams, loop drawings, interconnection diagrams, instrument layouts, schematics) in AutoCad Environment.

oCalculations (voltage drop, grounding, lighting, etc.)

oPiping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

oEngineering lists (load list, equipment list, cable and raceway schedules, material take-offs)

oPower system modelling and design (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, etc.)

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in the discipline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
  • Understanding of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office..
  • Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer focus and able to consistently meet Worley Consulting and its client’s needs.
  • Effectively manages change to work tasks and the work environment and assists others with adapting to change.
  • A person of integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honours their commitments.
  • Able to identify issues, problems and opportunities; make timely decisions; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance if required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, and make presentations when required.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve on performance.
  • Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity.
  • Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams, and share and transfer knowledge within teams.
