In Focus Vision Center is Hiring an Optician Near Piscataway, NJ

At In Focus Vision Center, led by Ray Corbin-Simon, OD, we provide personalized eye care utilizing advanced technology, catering to patients of all ages. We prioritize compassion and support, fostering a positive team dynamic.

We are seeking a dynamic and sociable Optician/Optician Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should thrive on interaction, excel in sales, and be passionate about enhancing our customers' lives through exceptional eyewear solutions. As an integral part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding customers to find the perfect eyewear that suits their style, face, and needs, all while providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers to understand their eyewear requirements and preferences.
  • Recommend frames or contact lenses tailored to each customer's style and specifications.
  • Utilize specialized equipment to take precise measurements and ensure accurate fittings.
  • Educate customers on proper eyewear maintenance and usage for optimal vision health.
  • Work closely with our optical technicians to prepare orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain inventory of frames and contact lenses to offer a diverse selection to our customers.
  • Provide administrative support by managing prescriptions, customer records, and insurance.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A valid New Jersey Optician license, ABO certification or completion of an apprenticeship program is required.
  • Prior experience in customer service or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.

Office Hours:

Monday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Tuesday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Wednesday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Thursday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday Closed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
