Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to audit product quality at press and finishing.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for investigating and/or correcting product quality issues, which could involve, but are not limited to, color (Create Color standards), registration (print to print or print to die), and construction, unwinding, finished roll, deep die cuts, and ATV rolls.
  • Responsible for investigating discrepancies, verifying process improvements and corrective action, as well as quality documentation systems.
  • Responsible for performing final inspections of critical customer accounts. Ensures response letters and forms are delivered to customers promptly.
  • Communicate quality errors or concerns to the Production Manager.
  • Spot checks machines to make sure quality is checked throughout the shift.
  • Responsible for checking scale calibration and recording data on calibrations.
  • Spot-check boxes and customer samples to ensure the product is accurate and meets customer specifications before shipping.
  • Communicate daily shift changes with the other QC staff to ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
