Description

The Finishing Operator is responsible for setting up and operating finishing press (ABG). Die cutting and setting up and maintaining certain embellishments hot stamp, Emboss, spot color and multi pass work. Must have an eye for quality and be detail oriented. Operators will be required to monitor the work they produce to ensure the quality level is maintained.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Follow direction given by department lead.· Set-up and run job tracking software (Radius). · Prepare, set-up and running of finishing press.· Retrieve printed roll, inks, coatings, and tooling required per job specs.· Prepare tooling as required by job specifications. · Clean and store printing plates, cylinders, ink pans and other related materials.· Finish quality work in allowed time given.· Ability to stay organized, and work under pressure.· Work effectively and respectfully with other departments and co-workers· Willingness to work overtime and maintain good attendance.· Follow and exercise a safe work environment. · Follow all procedures and processes.· Keep work area clean and organized.· Perform other tasks given by manager. 

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, G.E.D or work experience • Basic computer skills (navigating through programs)• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)• Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing) • Ability to read and use a ruler.• Knowledge and understanding of label or printing processes is a plus.• Willing to train the right person. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to perform this position's essential functions successfully. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to twist, bend, and stand for long periods of time. The employee must frequently use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. In addition, the employee must be able to lift 25lbs to 50lbs on a regular basis Specific vision abilities required looking at labels through a strobe light.
