SUMMARY:

IMPREG is the Global Manufacturing Leader of fiberglass reinforced liners for trenchless pipe rehabilitation, CIPP wastewater & stormwater solutions.

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team in Chesterfield, VA as Production Operators. IMPREG Production Operators perform tasks and operates machinery as part of the CIPP liner manufacturing process and is responsible for all aspects relating to preparation of UV Cure-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) according to the exact specifications and agreed upon by the customer. This position directly affects productivity and is responsible for the timely completion of all assigned operations. You must be dedicated to achieving operational excellence through high performance work practices and have a genuine interest in helping our company succeed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operating the process in one to three of four process areas to allow shift team flexibility. Produces products according to specifications requested from customers in accordance with operating procedures.
  • Become proficient is one or more specialty skills (Leadership, Powered Industrial Vehicles, Equipment Expert, Carpentry/Woodworking, Sewing, etc.)
  • Performing routine maintenance while on shift as well as participating in a maintenance rotation to assist with more complex maintenance.
  • Performing focused administrative tasks while on shift.
  • Perform all work according to safety/quality standards and follow all environmental procedures.
  • Safety standards and operating procedures must always be sustained, and employees will initiate emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to communicate effectively. Proficiency in English.
  • Self-Starter.
  • Two years of advanced education, industrial experience, prior military background, or competency in one or more of the following skills:
    • Health, Safety & Environmental Standards
    • Basic Science, Math, and measurement, in standard and metric
    • Manufacturing Operations
    • Mechanical
    • Electrical
    • Control Systems
    • ISO Systems
    • Planning and Scheduling
    • Inventory
    • Lean Manufacturing
  • Willing and able to work any shift.
  • Willing and able to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and on short notice, call-in as required.
  • Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel-toed boots, hardhat, protective eyewear, face shields, etc.)

Preferred

  • Include an updated resume detailing your experiences and qualifications with your application.
  • Previous forklift and other powered industrial vehicle experience.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification or other emergency response skills.
  • Computer skills: (Human Resource Systems; Inventory Software; Microsoft Office; Payroll Systems)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT:

  • Frequently required to stand or walk.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.
  • Occasionally exposed to various warehouse conditions on the job site including heat and/or humid conditions.
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts, fiberglass components, and binding and adhesive chemicals
  • Occasionally work around fumes and airborne particles.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job includeclose vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
