POSITION DETAILS

Imperial’s Lab Assistant position is an introductory level role for anyone with a fermentation science background and/or keen interest in the science of fermentation and brewing at-large.

The right person for this job will be a team player who is hard working, reliable and performs well in a fast-paced environment.

JOB DUTIES

Lab

• Pouring and packaging of yeast orders (commercial and retail pouching);
• Homogenizing harvested yeast;
• Cleaning of laboratory and laboratory tools and equipment;
• Quality control;
• Yeast propagation.

Shipping

• Coordinate and execute timely pulling, staging and packing of all outbound customer orders;
• Ensure that inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and errors.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• High School Diploma or GED;
• Basic math skills;
• Attention to detail;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to keep a clean working environment;
• Team player;
• Ability to follow directions;
• Quick learner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees will be working in a warehouse environment where it can be hot, cold, wet and/or noisy for extended time periods in the presence of high voltage machinery, hot water, compressed gasses and steam.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $20.00/hr starting wage (DOE) 10% shift differential for weekend shifts;
• PTO: 2 weeks paid vacation, sick, and 10 paid holidays;
