JOB SUMMARY:

A successful Infrastructure Engineer will help to nurture profitable program entity relationships such that Customers value our premium finance services and we achieve superior, sustainable financial returns. The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for carrying out system and network administration functions independently, with a sound understanding of the interactions between hardware, operating system software, and network operations. This individual will design, implement and maintain enterprise class IT systems, as well as deliver quality IT solutions to meet business objectives and enhance the end user experience. This position will also provide tier one and tier two technical support and assist internal users within the IT Department as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain technology roadmaps.
  • Develop and deliver all infrastructure technology solutions for IPFS in conjunction with other IT personnel and vendor partners.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Install, configure, test, monitor and maintain all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support. Drive common problem resolution to Service Desk by knowledge article creation/maintenance and Service Desk training.
  • Maintain security, backup, redundancy and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Write and maintain scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on tasks.
  • Provide Legendary Service to all Customer inquiries (external and internal) by responding promptly and thoroughly to all requests.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • 3-5 years of IT engineering/administration experience
  • In-depth knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory
  • In-depth knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
  • In-depth knowledge of AD access group permissions
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop administration
  • System Center Configuration Manager - SCCM (demonstrated working knowledge)
  • VMWare administration (demonstrated working knowledge) - Preferred knowledge of VMWare View
  • Working/general knowledge of F5 administration, backup technologies, Linux administration, Exchange administration, Skype administration, environment monitoring technologies (SCOM)
  • Experience working in an ITIL based, structured IT department
  • Willingness/desire to learn new technologies

College graduate or equivalent years of experience
