Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, has a role available in Orlando! We are looking for a Day Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Day Manager and supervising personnel within the warehouse to ensure that all functions are performed efficiently within company and distribution center standards. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 6:00 Am EST until finish.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Plan, manage and coordinate the daily activities for the warehouse within shipping operations
• Effectively plan to forecast volume, staffing, and supply needs in order to meet projected productivity and expense budgets
• Supervise warehouse activities using proper training, accuracy systems, and programs
• Control production standards as well as meet projections for labor expenses
• Coordinate functions between shifts to effectively complete the workload
• Walk all areas of the warehouse to ensure building conditions are maintained and comply with Company standards, associates are working safely, potential safety hazards are identified and addressed, and potential damage is identified and corrected
• Plan and assign work for the most efficient use of personnel and equipment
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with all warehouse personnel, and all departments within the supply chain
• Assist in the preparation and administration of the department budget
• Maintain daily production and accuracy records
• Maintain company policies and contractual agreements
• Develop productive associates through training, and coaching, in order to achieve company goals and objectives
• Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects

Qualifications

You have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience, formal training, and/or education in warehouse operations, preferably with the Company or in the distribution industry.
• College Degree a plus.
• A working knowledge of government regulations pertaining to warehouse operations.
• Good leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others. Must be able to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written. You will deal with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone.
• Basic computer skills required and personal computer experience, with word processing and spreadsheet applications preferred.
• The analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities.
• The ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.
• Experience implementing process improvements in an operational environment preferred
• Experience in a changing/growing organization
• Strong communication and organizational skills
