Role Purpose Statement

LSG Sky Chefs, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the efficient and effective receiving, storage, and distribution of food and beverage products within our supply chain model. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, including inventory management and team leadership.

As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products while maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Main Accountabilities

• Supervise the receiving, storage, and distribution of food and beverage products, including the management of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Ensure all products are received, stored, and handled in accordance with company policies and procedures, following best practices in supply chain management.
• Inspect products for damage or spoilage, and manage quality control within the supply chain.
• Reconcile inventory records with physical counts, utilizing SAP systems to maintain accurate data.
• Order and receive supplies and materials through SAP systems, ensuring seamless communication with suppliers.
• Schedule and supervise warehouse staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement in supply chain operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the overall supply chain process. Oversee all aspects of inventory management to ensure financial and customer requirements are met
• Manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Handle all company and customer owned merchandise received until it is issued to production
• Control Food Cost Variances and continually compare actual to billed costs Determine par levels and order quantities based on airline specifications, menus and vendor lead time
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), safety, health, environmental and other regulations

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the food production industry.
• Proven experience in leading a team and managing daily operations.
• In addition three to five years experience in purchasing, logistics, inventory and warehouse management preferred
• Proficiency in forklift operations and possess a valid forklift operator's license.
• Experience in using and managing Variable Production Systems, logistics, and schedules
• Effective communication skills to liaise with various departments and external stakeholders.
• Experience in SAP MM a plus
• Proven track record of understanding the drivers of product and labor cost variances
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
