SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Supervisor at Imperative Chemical Partners is responsible for overseeing the production process and ensuring the efficient operation of the manufacturing activities. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Manufacturing Supervisor will lead a team of manufacturing technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of manufacturing technicians, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage the mixing of raw materials to create finished products according to batch sheets, maintaining a thorough understanding of all company products and mixing equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all equipment, tanks, and vessels, coordinating cleaning schedules as needed.
  • Oversee the transfer of finished product into drums and totes to complete orders, while maintaining accurate inventory records and labeling of containers.
  • Assist technicians as needed, particularly in troubleshooting equipment issues and addressing production challenges.
  • Prepare containers for filling, monitor mixing tanks, vessels, and mixers, and obtain and understand all documentation for blending products.
  • Verify the accuracy of raw chemical usage on each batch and ensure proper documentation of all production activities.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment, including tanks, mixers, scales, meters, pumps, and forklifts, with proficiency and adherence to safety standards.
  • Complete all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner, submitting finished product samples to the lab for approval.
  • Monitor batch temperatures and ensure proper heating and cooling as required.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety among team members.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a blending or mixing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, including safety rules, operating procedures, batch recipes, and material identification.
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and conversions.
  • Proficiency in handling 55-gallon drums and other containers weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
  • Forklift certification and basic computer skills are required.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in analyzing production data and implementing process improvements.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to chemical manufacturing.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
