As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on various metal components using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques. This is a temporary contract position, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding on a variety of metal components, including stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements
- Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, including gas tanks, torches, and filler rods
- Ensure that all welds meet quality standards and specifications
- Inspect finished welds for defects and make necessary repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of materials and tools
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in TIG welding
- Strong knowledge of TIG welding techniques and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Proficient in basic math and measurement skills
- Experience working with a variety of metals, including stainless steel and aluminum
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
