Structural Project Engineer

Job Purpose: To receive, manage and close projects at a healthy profit, schedule projects efficiently, effectively communicate with customers and production employees, and complete crane projects at a healthy profit margin for the company.

Job Responsibilities

• Structural design of fabricated and welded box girder sections for overhead cranes
• Structural design of free standing runway systems for overhead cranes
• Develop concrete footer and foundation design for free standing runway support columns
• Possess the ability to interpret architectural drawings and develop structural framing systems.
• Work with our internal Sales Team to specify sizes and labor hours for the various projects they are working on.
• Ensure project deliverables are provided on time and under budget.
• Inspect and analyze existing structures and overhead crane box girder sections.
• Develop office standards for various structural sections and engineering processes.
• Work with production teams to identify and correct manufacturing design issues

Education and Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Mechanical with a concentration in Structural Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience is required.
• PE certification is required.
• Experience with fatigue design considerations and the design of welded structures
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
• Motivated and driven self-starter!
