Research Computer Scientist - Robotics

Role Objectives:

• Identify and pursue new research directions for automated and autonomous vehicles and manufacturing robotics.
• Lead research programs to advance localization, navigation, mapping, path planning, perception, modeling, and simulation
• Discover new applications, industries, and clients for automation capabilities

• Develop, test, and implement advanced robotic technologies such as localization, navigation, mapping, and path planning.
• Create tools and techniques to enhance research and development speed and capability
• Write proposals to secure funding for innovative automation research.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Robotics, Mechatronics, Controls, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7-12 years of research experience in autonomous/automated vehicles or robotics in UGV, UAS, USV/UUV, or manufacturing domains in industry, academia, or government.
• Proficiency in software and software engineering, particularly in C /Python.
• At least 1 year of experience in business development and/or proposal writing.
• Must possess a valid and clear driver's license.
