Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or those with autism.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications following established protocols
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Help individuals with meal preparation and feeding
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs
- Implement behavior management systems for those with autism
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing homes, assisted living, or similar setting
- Knowledge of medication administration and patient care practices
- Ability to work with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in assisting with ADLs and senior care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred
