The Campus Safety Officer will be responsible for working with a team of other Campus Safety Officers in providing a safe and secure environment for IMG students, employees and visitors. **$17-18 PH & 1 Free Meal Per Shift**$17 per hour for PM(3-11PM) Shift$18 per hour for ON(11PM-7AM) Shift Position ResponsibilitiesArrive on time and in uniform before the start of each shiftAttend a daily briefing before the start of each shiftMaintain a Campus Safety post as assignedInterview all persons on IMG property that are not known to the OfficerScreen all vehicles and persons attempting to enter IMG property and allow only authorized vehicles/persons entry onto the campusConduct patrols for up to 8 hours to insure all property is secure, no unsafe conditions exist, no unauthorized persons are on property and all maintenance needs are reportedLog all unusual incidents in the Daily LogbookMonitor student departure of the campus to ensure accountabilityCollaborate with Student Services on curfew rules with studentsDetect unauthorized acts by students, employees and visitorsKeep all Campus Safety posts clean and orderlyPick up all trash/debris on campus groundsDevelop positive relationships with all IMG employeesReport any known child endangerment or abuseKnow, own and support all Campus Safety and IMG policies and proceduresDevelop new procedures to streamline processes.Identify defects in current procedures and provide applicable solutions.Receive, conduct investigations and complete incident reportsRespond to all types of emergencies and other security related callsBe placed on stand-by status or recalled into work during emergency or weather related situationsPerform first aid/CPR/AED if neededAny other duty assignedQualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Ability Speak and write fluent EnglishGood verbal and communicative skillsGood computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to write detailed incident reportsHigh School DiplomaAble to watch numerous computer monitors for 8 hoursAbility to stay calm during all types of emergenciesPreferred SkillsAssociate’s Degree or higher1 year security related experienceLaw enforcement, military or security experienceBi-lingual (English and Spanish)Expected to pursue certificationPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentAble to sit or stand for up to 8 hours at a timeAble to work shifts of up to 12 hoursAbility to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.Must be able to walk around IMG’s 400 acre campusAbility to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is requiredNot guaranteed to have set days off, set shifts, to have 40 work hours per week or to have two days off per week.
