IMEG Corp is Hiring a Project Engineer Near Los Angeles, CA
Scope Responsible for structural engineering, calculations, evaluation, system design, reports, progress submittals, BIM instructions for the project, and specifications required to assure project completeness and accuracy within the allocated period of time and monetary budget. Principal Responsibilities Analyze and design simple structures using engineering judgment, computer software, spreadsheets and hand calculations; Prepare project specifications and verify that design meets code requirements, ensure compliance and conformance to design specifications, quality control standards; Calculate costs and time schedules for proposed work; review all files to determine scope and personnel involved; Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers; Document design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress as related to fee expended, take project schedule into consideration by coordinating project plans and design specifications; Review all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check; Prepare and issue addendum information; Recognize potential project problems quickly, such as possible safety and development problems, and seek advice from the Project Manager; Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Project Manager, create project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, and confer with management regarding specifications and project details; Conduct periodic job site observations, inspections and all other services as required by the contract services agreement; Other duties assigned by the employer. Education and Experience Bachelor degree in civil engineering. 2 year past experience.
