Frymer Construction is a specialist in multi-family and mixed-used projects who is uniquely qualified to serve as owner, operator, design builder, and general contractor for projects in the Southern California region. We are currently looking for an Estimator with at least four years of estimating experience to assist our Preconstruction Division Manager with our pipeline.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Prepare material quantity surveys for projects
• Solicit subcontractor bids using Frymer RFP’s
• Review and assist in writing subcontract scopes
• Prepare/Assist and update project budgets
• Develop project schedules
• Perform value-engineering to reduce costs
• Track value-engineering by maintaining logs
• Maintain historic project cost data
• Assist Purchasing Agent as requested
• Assist with other construction management tasks, as required

Requirements:

• Must be physically able to perform job walks and maneuver around an active construction site
• Must be physically able to perform all other tasks consistent with the duties of construction supervision and management
• Must be proficient in reading and understanding plans and project specifications
• Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
• Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy
• Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word) and Bluebeam

Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a similar degree preferred.
• A minimum of 4-5 years of similar on-the-job experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Experience with Procore is a plus!
