IMA Financial Group is Hiring an Account Manager - Employee Benefits Near Wichita, KS

What You’ll Do

Our Wichita Employee Benefits team is seeking an Account Manager to join our growing group! This role will be responsible for the client services to IMA's Employee Benefits customers. This role plays an integral part of the team by participating in client meetings, handle insurance carrier and vendor management, and successfully connect with customers.

A successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, with effective written and oral communication skills. This person must possess critical thinking and problem solving skills and be able to act with a high degree of subtlety and tact while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Maintains regular, professional contact to build and nurture relationships with client representatives
  • Research and resolve issues and requests timely – including issues that require direct interactions
  • Answer client questions related to benefits program
  • Conduct reviews and work to provide mentorship on compliance related matters
  • Assist in and prepare materials and collateral for client meetings and discussions
  • Actively participate in discussions and record and report meeting discussions and action items
  • Assist new vendor/carrier implementations
  • Review carrier, vendor, and plan documents and contracts
  • Maintains regular contact with carrier and vendor representatives to ensure client advocacy and that issues are being resolved in a timely manner
  • Work with client to develop short and long-term employee communication objectives
  • Create member facing collateral pieces to promote and clarify benefit program features
  • Assist with in person, virtual, and telephonic sessions to provide information and plan details to participants
  • Use regular interactions to update clients on carrier and vendor partner features and services
  • Actively participate and give to client service team operations
  • Effectively communicate client updates to appropriate team members
  • Assist with other team duties as needed – i.e., position vacancy, cover personal time off, etc.
  • Support and demonstrate IMA’s core values
  • Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates

You Should Have:

  • 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Attains and maintains state life and health license in accordance with IMA standards 
  • Intermediate MS office skills (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel) required
