Title: Employee Benefits Account Manager
Supervisor: Vice President of Employee Benefits
Start Date: TBD
Status: Exempt; Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience as well as a generous benefits package.
Role & Responsibilities shall include the following as well as other as assigned:
1. Responsible for the timely servicing of an assigned group of clients and their employees.
2. Process enrollments, terminations, benefits changes, salary, and address changes on an
as-needed basis. Research and correct discrepancies with enrollments and invoices and
process retroactive changes.
3. Manage individual workload and follow through on assignments in an effective and
timely manner.
4. Support Employee Benefits Consultants during open enrollment and beyond. Help guide
and educate employees of clients about the fundamentals and benefits of the lines of
coverage they are eligible for and participate in.
5. Communicate professionally with business partners, clients, prospective clients, and
their employees.
6. Serve as a liaison between employees of clients, insurance companies, and related service
providers.
7. Travel to employer sites for servicing, enrollment, and education purposes when needed.
8. Effectively utilize multiple internal and external computer systems/programs to assist
clients, prospective clients, and their employees, including selected HRIS platform(s)
and Agency Management program(s), while following established
workflows/documentation requirements.
9. Complete required Continuing Education, and related processes, to maintain state
specific insurance license(s). Participate and be open to professional development
opportunities to maintain required skill level and industry knowledge.
10. Build positive relationships on an internal and external basis.
11. Work closely with the Employee Benefits team.
12. Independently market accounts, develop and produce proposals, and generate Employee
Benefit Summary booklets. Adhere to compliance and privacy requirements.
13. Work on special projects as required.
14. Be accountable.
