Warehouse Supervisor

• A reputable furniture manufacturer and distributor in Bensenville, IL is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and enhance their warehouse operations.

• PRIOR FURNITURE OR CABINET MFG / DISTRIBUTION EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
• Local candidates are preferred for this position.

Responsibilities :

• Lead a team of 15 associates, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Drive operational excellence in all shipping and receiving functions.
• Encourage continuous improvement and evaluate the effectiveness of work methods, procedures, systems, controls, and staffing for enhanced productivity and efficient order processing.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular analysis and reporting.
• Develop and maintain warehouse documentation and procedures to meet compliance requirements.
• Investigate and address customer complaints related to product handling and transportation, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Manage daily personnel scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing levels.

Requirements :

• BS / BA / AAS degree or equivalent, or a minimum of 2 years of distribution / operations / transportation / shipping / warehouse supervision experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in a leadership role in distribution, shipping, warehousing, or transportation.
• PRIOR FURNITURE OR CABINET MFG / DISTRIBUTION EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
• Proficiency in Bills of Materials, Order Entry, Order Management, Inventory Management, and Transportation functions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), MS Office, and ERP systems. Prior experience with system implementation is a plus.
• Bilingual in Chinese / Mandarin is a plus.
