Overview

A Plant Controller is needed in Houston, Texas, to oversee accounting and finance responsibilities for multiple locations. Key Duties

• Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP for all subsidiaries.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support the company’s objectives.
• Oversee and lead the accounting team.
• Establish and implement best practices to improve efficiency and manage spending.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital to maximize liquidity.
• Analyze job and manufacturing costs.
• Guide external auditors during financial reviews, tax preparations, 401k, and ESOP assessments.
• Perform additional duties and assist staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• At least five years of accounting experience, preferably with monthly financials for multiple locations.
• At least three years of experience with project or Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting is preferred.
• Strong cost accounting background.
• At least three years of experience managing an accounting team.
• Familiarity with financial software, ERP systems, accounting procedures, and GAAP is required.
