Job Description

Our client is in search of a Semiconductor Field Engineer for their Semiconductor business in Utica, NY. This position requires the individual to report to a designated worksite in Utica, NY, five days a week.

Candidates must reside in close proximity to Syracuse, NY. This is a full-time position paid hourly, with the schedule consisting of a 35-hour work week.

Responsibilities :

Undertake installation, repair, calibration, and maintenance of semiconductor process equipment, ensuring minimal equipment downtime.

Advanced repairs may be escalated to senior level technicians.

• Regularly monitor, inspect, and maintain semiconductor equipment to prevent and minimize malfunctions.
• Create accurate documentation of maintenance activities and provide regular reports.
• Monitor stock levels of service parts and equipment to ensure sufficient inventory for repair work.
• Train and assist technicians, and potentially provide basic instruction to customers.
• Participate in ongoing technical training to enhance expertise.

Qualifications

Qualifications :

• Associates degree or equivalent is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior work experience of 2-3 years in a related electromechanical field, such as a field service engineer or technician in a semiconductor equipment company or a technical position in engineering.

Litho experience is preferable, and familiarity with high precision equipment will be beneficial.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and compressed workweeks.
• This position involves driving for company business and must comply with company safety guidelines and policies.
• Capability to individually lift up to 30 pounds, with assistance available for lifting over 30 pounds.
• Able to stand, walk, type, and grasp for extended periods, as well as perform occasional kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
• Efficiently handle time-sensitive situations and resolve issues quickly.

The position is full-time with benefits starting from day one. It offers a competitive hourly rate between $36 / hour (based on a 35-hour work week, equating to $65,520 annually) and $42 / hour (based on a 35-hour work week, equating to $76,440 annually).
