The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire an Office Associate to perform a variety of difficult and responsible clerical duties including keyboarding, receiving, and filing documents. As the Office Associate, processes records and performs general office support functions involving FCRC processes and/or methods requiring application of agency policies and procedures. Also, determines work methods and procedures to complete assignments; provides information/assistance to explain/clarify rules, processes, or procedures. Communicates in Spanish to those individuals who do not read or speak English.
Keyboards or proofreads a wide variety of correspondence.
Keyboards and maintains complex, highly specialized records and reports.
Receives telephone calls, determines the nature of the calls.
Maintains and organizes customer appeals files.
Translates functions/procedures into Spanish for individuals who cannot speak or read English, in contacts with the general public, advocacy groups, customers and community organizations.
Provides clerical office support.
Receives and distributes mail, manual releases, and memos.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Work Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
