The Bureau of Disability Determination Services (BDDS) is seeking to hire a detail-oriented Disability Claims Adjudicator II to perform comprehensive reviews of assigned intake cases. The Disability Claims Adjudicator II documents and adjudicates claims that have been denied a period of disability at the initial level and that have a request for reconsideration that was filed timely. This position will access Continuing Disability Review (CDR) claims to determine if disability continues, reviews past decisions upon receipt to determine if claimant’s impairment meets the medical improvement review standard established by the Social Security Reform Act of 1984, checks for entitlement to extended periods of eligibility or clear-cut cessations. Adjudicator II promotes and maintains professional relationships with SSA personnel, claim representatives and medical providers and provides technical advice and assistance in problem resolution to less experienced adjudicators.
