    Function / Position Summary
    Responsible for assisting the Athletic Director in the delivery of the overall student athletic program. Additionally he/she is responsible for but not limited to areas of event supervision, staff development, equipment inventory, facility and contest management, summer camps and web / media relations. Frequent night and weekend work and in-season travel required.
    Job Duties / Responsibilities
    • Responsible for securing personnel for athletic event supervision.
    • Meet with staff to provide instruction and expectations for supervision responsibilities prior to first contests.
    • Log all faculty supervision information on designated spreadsheet and submit to Athletic Director for proper processing.
    • Assist with athlete registration for fall, winter, and spring sports.
    • Responsible for the organization of picture day for all sports, providing assistance to coaches and players on the scheduled day and make-up day if necessary.
    • Attend all Head Coach’s meetings.
    • Attend Up-State 8 pre/post-season meetings for sports for which your high school is the conference representative.
    • Assist with indoor practice facility scheduling.
    • Collect and compile completed vouchers, and in some cases, W-9s from contests worked for the High School sport event.
    • Communicate with lower level coaches to receive official’s vouchers from contests.
    • Responsible for supplying and collecting W-9 forms to all official’s.
    • Assist the Athletic Director in the scheduling of middle school games, officials, and transportation for the specific high school’s assigned sport.
    • Collect and report scores from middle school contests.
    • Assist the Athletic Director in the overall scheduling process.
    • Update the Athletic Hotline on a daily basis.
    • Assist with maintaining the athletic website.
    • Greet coaches, administrators and teams.
    • Open locker rooms.
    • Get officials signed in.
    • Help with contest set-up- this includes assisting coaches and locating all necessary equipment.
    • Set up workers, get them signed in and signed out on a time sheet.
    • Supervise- attend all games agreed upon with the Athletic Director, acting as the official High School representative.
    • Be familiar and prepared with emergency and safety procedures (severe weather, fire, etc.)
    • Makes sure all equipment is secured at the end of the event.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Appropriate License (Professional Educator License with General Administrator or Principal endorsement or Educator License with stipulations with provisional educator endorsement (Preferred)
    • Certified in First Aid/CPR and AED required.
    Experience / Knowledge
    • Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in coaching and administration/organization of athletics programs.
    Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with proper technique.
    Terms of Employment
    • This is a 10 month position.
