The Lead Admissions Coordinator for Health Careers provides comprehensive application and admission information and support to prospective, new, and re-enrolling students for the Health Career programs. The manager will also serve as a college health careers representative with regional schools, businesses, and community groups. This individual will embrace diversity and equity to educate diverse student populations including, but not limited to high school, adult, low-income, incumbent workers, and minority students about Health Careers at Illinois Central College. This position is funded by the PATH Grant with an expected end date of 06/30/2025.

Assist students in choosing a Health Career program that reflects their interests and skills and aligns them on a direct career pathway. Engage with prospective students, primarily through phone and digital outreach.Educate and support special population students. Plan open houses and other related events and tours, including but not limited to College Nights, Visit Days, Campus Tours, Health Career’s Expo, and Health Career’s Kids Summer Camp.Communicate, advise, and assist students through the Health Career’s Admissions and Enrollment process by providing guidance and information about the program’s pre-enrollment activities, such as application, placement testing, registration, orientations, and other activities. Connect students with appropriate wrap-around services such as financial aid, WEI, WIOA, TRIO, childcare services, counseling, access services, tutoring, and other support services that will reduce barriers to allow students to enroll and complete their career pathways. Collect, analyze, and evaluate enrollment data for the effectiveness of efforts.Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for recruitment and admission activities at Health Career’s Department Meetings, Program Director Meetings, and Program Advisory Meetings.Build and maintain professional relationships within the community, schools, community leaders, and business contacts.Collaborate with health careers to review and revise admission policies and procedures, including application, enrollment, placement, registration, and orientation.Conduct data entry into the Customer Relations Management (CRM) database while maintaining up-to-date records of all inquiries and applicants for tracking, follow-up, and reporting. Perform in the role of liaison with other college departments.Perform related duties as required.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Master’s degree or higher. Three (3) years of experience in admissions, recruitment, health careers, or directly related fields.Experience working in higher education.Experience developing enrollment growth strategies.Experience working within the community.Experience working with diverse populations.
