A law firm that currently ranks as one of the 200 largest law firms in the United States is eagerly seeking a Junior to mid-level Real Estate Associate to join their Cleveland, OH office.

Ideal candidate:

• The candidate must have at least five years of experience working on commercial real estate transactions
• This position involves representation of owners of commercial real estate in connection with development, purchase, sale and financing.
• Experience in the negotiation of commercial leases, purchase, and sale agreements.
• Property acquisition, divestitures, development, joint venture formation, land development, and leasing.
• Experience in the following areas is essential, title and survey review, complex acquisition, disposition, leasing, and finance transaction.
• Retail leasing experience is a plus.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong writing skills.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will perform transactional work relating to commercial real estate
• Be involved in the negotiation of joint ventures agreements and the preparation of equity syndication documents.
• Drafting and negotiation of documents relating to the full spectrum of commercial real estate transactions, including development, purchases, and sales, real estate secured loans, modification, and workout documents.
• Work as a team on real estate matters including leasing, related diligence work, title, and survey review, and closing of real estate transactions.
