What we're looking for:

• Must have 1 year minimum experience as a bartender in a full service restaurant
• Ability to make guest recommendations through knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer and a la carte food service Serving full menu and bar including wine and specialty cocktails.
• Basic knowledge of Italian and CA wines
• Delivering drinks and food correctly and efficiently Closing out checks and reconciling cash in a timely fashion
• Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines while maintaining a positive teamwork attitude
• Communicating clearly, professionally, and respectfully monitoring guest satisfaction
• Must be available weekends and holidays
• Must be available for a minimum of 2 lunch shifts with at least 1 being a weekday
• Full bar service including wine, beer, specialty cocktails and espresso drinks
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with Il Fornaio standard drink recipes.
• Assume responsibility for the quality of guests' experience.
• Maintains a Guest focus while performing duties.
• Adhere to food safety standards and procedures
• Prior experience as Bartender, Mixologist, or bar back is very helpful in being successful at this job.
• RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate required in CA locations.
• Food handler Card required
• must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs
