IIE Organization is Hiring a Remote Program Analyst, Artist Protection Fund (Part-Time & Hybrid)

Job Description:

The part-time Program Analyst, Artist Protection Fund (APF) manages all phases of pre-grantee administration, grantee management and monitoring for a complex caseload of threatened artists from around the world. In this role, one conducts outreach, handles inquiries and applications, coordinates candidate presentations to the APF Selection Committee, negotiates host institution arrangements and match funding, provides on-fellowship support, and evaluates both the artist and the host institution. The Program Analyst manages a caseload of approximately 5-15 active grantees per year.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist Program Director in implementing outreach system to promote awareness of fellowships. Update APF website content and program materials.
  • Monitors, tracks, and responds to applications and inquiries; process and prepare candidate applications, which includes collecting relevant application information, corresponding with applicants, and conducting research on applicant backgrounds, circumstances, and home countries.
  • Contributes to placement outreach, assists in the negotiation of temporary appointments, prepare grantee and host agreements, compile grantee documentation for payments, process insurance.
  • Conducts monitoring, advising, and follow-up with grantees and host institutions during and after fellowships; visit grantees and host institutions as needed.
  • Prepare reports and grantee narrative data for internal and external use; maintain records and databases with up-to-date information on applicants, grantees, and alumni for monitoring and evaluation purposes; participate in other research as necessary.

The Institute of International Education (“IIE”) has a hybrid work environment that allows team members a combination of in-office work and telework at the location listed above.Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • If selected for an interview you may be asked to submit a writing sample.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced degree in the Arts preferred.
  • Must have a background and knowledge base within the arts.
  • Previous experience in an arts related environment which can include curatorial, history, teaching, admissions, recruitment as well as knowledge of arts offerings at institutions of higher education is preferred.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle increasing levels of responsibility, and work with limited supervision.
  • Strong writing skills needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and across cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential information in a discrete, professional manner.
  • Language skills in Arabic, French, and or Spanish considered a plus.

Salary: $30,275. This is the set starting annualized salary for this benefits-eligible regular part-time role. This regular part-time role will be 17.5 hours per week on a flexible hybrid work schedule.
