IIE Organization is Hiring a Remote Communications and Impact Analyst, Techwomen (Hybrid)

Job Description:

The Communications and Impact Analyst oversees execution of all aspects of social media and internal and external communications for the TechWomen program including newsletters, blogs, email campaigns, press, multimedia, websites, branding and relevant reporting. Works closely with sponsoring organization (US Department of State) and engages program alumnae, mentor community and host company partners to demonstrate program impact. The role is key to demonstrating the overall success and impact of the program.

TechWomen empowers, connects and supports the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East by providing them the access and opportunity needed to advance their careers, pursue their dreams, and inspire women and girls in their communities.

Through mentorship and exchange, TechWomen strengthens participants’ professional capacity, increases mutual understanding between key networks of professionals, and expands girls’ interest in STEM careers by exposing them to female role models.

The Institute of International Education (“IIE”) has a hybrid work environment that allows team members a combination of in-office work and telework at any of the locations listed above.

Essential Functions:
  • Develops and curates social media content across platforms. Manages dynamic communities through social media presence and engagement. Gathers and reports information on alumnae activities to demonstrate program impact. Drafts and publishes blog content and manages program web platforms. Creates and implements social media strategies; monitors metrics and analytics.
  • Create new ways to access alumnae community in order to reach new audiences. Under the guidance of the Mentorships Initiatives Lead, engages companies and key partners and develop new materials in order to create lasting partnerships with corporate marketing, PR and CSR teams.
  • Develops and implements communication strategy to engage present and past program participants and stakeholders, including newsletters and other campaigns.
  • Works to expand and connect alumnae networks through targeted outreach and engagement.
  • Interacts with external stakeholders, including press/media, vendors, consultants and contractors, to professionally represent the program(s) and IIE.
  • Tracks, monitors and supports production and/or distribution of outreach materials and information. Ensures correct brand usage in creation of all materials.
  • Provides in-person management site support for large events, capturing and reporting on TechWomen event activities.
Education and Work Experience:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in order to apply a working knowledge of the theories and principles in a specialized field or work discipline.
  • Requires at least two years of related work experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Prior experience with successfully managing social media campaigns and strategies is highly desired.
  • Experience with international travel and/or working with international communities strongly preferred.
  • Ability to organize and handle a large volume of work under severe time constraints and pressures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Superior writing and editing skills highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with Wordpress preferred.
