Ignite Fueling Innovation is Hiring a Contract Administrator Near Huntsville, AL

Ignite is recruiting for a Junior Level Contracts Analyst to support our corporate office located in Huntsville, Alabama. This position will assist and support the Contract Manager in the development and execution of procurement and services contracts. This position receives on-the-job training and mentoring from a senior specialist and/or formal specialized training to develop the candidate to progress to target level.

The Contracts Analyst will be responsible for performing intermediate level administrative support tasks associated with all facets of contracts administration. The chosen candidate(s) will have specialized related knowledge and will work as a member of a team and assist with solving complex problems. The candidate(s) will assist with managing, pro-actively, a wide range of administrative duties and processes. Candidate will also have responsibility for frequent management of multiple, complex and/​or high-priority projects concurrently, which require considerable coordination and follow-through to successfully meet requirements. ​Candidate will also participate in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on multiple projects of varying contract types, sizes, complexity, and level of risk. The candidate will have a significant interface with Project Managers, Contract Management staff, Senior Technical Personnel, and other functional organizations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Duties:

  • Provide support for the preparation of contractual provisions and the administration of contract proposals, awards, and modifications
  • Assisting with planning and managing the progression of the contracts
  • Research, analyzing, data gathering, preparing, and reviewing contract requirements packages for submittal and performance
  • Creating and analyzing funding documents
  • Research and analysis to determine modifications required for current contracts
  • Reconciling Unliquidated Obligations
  • Assist with the various stages of contract invoicing, including vendor payments and collection issues
  • Maintain an organized file management system, including both hard and electronic copies
  • Develop written reports, briefings, and other documentation, as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Other responsibilities will include the following components:

  • Will handle sensitive business communications, data, and other information in a discreet and confidential manner
  • Schedule appointments and meetings with staff sections to establish requirements and closely maintain calendars
  • Utilize knowledge of agency operations, policies, and department functions to perform assigned duties, pro-actively and with minimal direct supervision
  • Utilize MS Office Products at a professional level to complete assigned tasks- to include email correspondence; document writing, preparation & editing; presentations, and spreadsheets
  • Other project work as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
