We have an opportunity for an EHS Manager. You will report to Vice President of Safety and be a key leader for environmental, health and safety compliance for our US based operations. Effectiveness in this position will require creative leadership, passion in protecting the environment, and influence of leadership and non-subordinate employees working with and through them to drive environmental and safety goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Have knowledge and enforce compliance of regulatory requirements (i.e., OSHA, EPA, etc.), including company EHS policies and procedures.
  • Uses every opportunity to drive EHS awareness by demonstrating safe behavior, continuous self-development and education in areas of environmental, health & safety compliance, industry trends and regulatory developments
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations across US Operations
  • Coordinate all activities associated with the environmental, health and safety requirements
  • Develop routine regulatory reports required by the various environmental permits, conduct required activities to maintain the permits and file reapplications necessary to meet business needs
  • Manage all aspects of facility EHS program including hazard recognition & control, incident investigation and implementation of proactive safety initiatives.
  • Implement corporate safety policies to comply with OSHA, EPA, or other environmental, safety or health requirements.
  • Conduct emergency response, incident/injury and near-miss investigations, and root cause analysis.
  • Implement initiatives to support effective injury/illness case management, return-to-work programs, and investigation and management of HSE relate cases.
  • Interpret and assess complex environmental regulations and issues, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the facility's flexibility and business advantage.
  • Perform facility EHS inspections.
  • Ability to evaluate PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE.
  • Have knowledge and enforce compliance of regulatory requirements (i.e., OSHA, EPA, etc.), including company EHS policies and procedures.
  • Ability to oversee Hazardous Waste Storage area and ensure regulatory agency compliance i.e., labeling, containment, proper disposal, documentation, etc.
  • Serve as IES Infrastructure’s US leader to ensure consistent implementation, application and interpretations of environmental elements of IES Infrastructure’s EHS Management System.
  • Develop, integrate, and support execution of strategies, goals, standards, processes and training to facilitate global environmental regulatory compliance.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences or equivalent.
  • 5 years progressive field experience in environmental management and permitting.
  • Deadline driven with excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience implementing Environmental Management Systems, e.g., ISO 14001.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage through others.
  • Ability to understand technical/business aspects of the manufacturing processes and effectively translate regulatory impact on various operations.
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, writing, and speaking).
  • Strong aptitude for teamwork and managing multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Strong ethics, values, and a passion to preserve human life and the environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% to support US operations.
