Responsibilities

The Senior Vice President of Sales is responsible for all sales of satellite communications solutions throughout the United States Government arena and for all aspects of running an integrated sales, program and technical support account team and will lead iDirect Government's next phase of growth.

The SVP will be updating the go-to-market strategy for all products and services and will lead business development efforts across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and their many partners. To succeed and meet our growth objectives, the SVP of Sales will need to have experience shaping, capturing and performing on programs and lead additional product and service sales development to current customers and penetrate new customer sets to include US Navy, US Air Force and Space Force.

The SVP is responsible for ensuring proper sales culture and individual capability within the team to meet both internal – working across iDirectGov's functional areas – and external customer facing requirements

The individual will be responsible for 8-10 direct reports and for leveraging established relationships to call on executive-level management from both new and existing customers.

This position is based out of our Herndon, VA location, with the option of a hybrid work schedule and will report directly to the President of iDirect Government and be a member of the Executive Management team. The expectation will be to be in the office 3-5 days a week over initial 6 month period. Then to be re-addressed.

The SVP of Sales will lead the continued success with the current customer set coupled with “hunting new ground” and near-term success with new customers. New target customers include USN, USAF, and Space Force (outside of SOF).

  • Create transition strategy to migrate from a hardware and software vendor to a prime program participant
  • Update go-to-market strategy – ensure Roadmap meets the current and future needs of targeted customer set.
  • Modernize sales culture – develop and implement “Hunt, Shape, Win” sales culture to grow with current customer and desired customer set.
  • Modernize sales tools – Salesforce experience and working knowledge highly desired.
  • Manage and coordinate all sales activities throughout the Government and Channel Partner Community.
  • Implement the Company’s alliance and business development strategies and develop sales relationships with regards to the entire customer base.
  • Develop and implement a unique sales strategy to serve a variety of clients in the marketplace.

Priorities to be accomplished in the first 6-months:

  • Development of go-to-market strategy for new customer set (Navy, USAF, Space Force, etc)
  • Development of complimentary BD capability with measurable goals and objectives designed to penetrate large program participation
  • Understand current and new customer requirements to provide course correction to the roadmap
  • Revenue performance vs budget

Qualifications

  • Must have a Top-Secret level US DoD security clearance or ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Demonstrated senior level-sales leadership success, having driven change within sales organization to achieve revenue growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated wins of US Federal Government program awards due to relationships within the following agencies: USAF, USN, Space Force, USA, SOCOM, JSOC, All SOF; and / or Demonstrated wins with: Satellite Owner Operators (Inmarsat, Intelsat, SES, Eutelsat, etc)
  • 10 years of demonstrated senior-level sales leadership success managing a geographically distributed team.
  • 10 years of demonstrated senior-level sales leadership experience in the SatCom Sector or an adjacent sector, such as the communications sector.
  • Individual will be: Self-motivated, competitive, organized, strong business background, with the ability to travel 50%.
  • Must be available to be in the Herndon, Virginia office 3-5 days a week over initial 6 month period.
