The Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for implementing the industrial security program and ensuring company and customer security requirements are met. The successful candidate will interface with all levels of iDirect Government and government management personnel to ensure contract security compliance. The position requires a self-motivated candidate that is capable of working independently and in a team environment with minimal direction. The candidate will be required to conduct self-assessments, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements. This position is based in Herndon, VA with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and oversees security procedures in accordance with the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives and Amentum Standard Practice Procedures (SPPs), Department of State (DoS), Department of Defense (DoD) and other applicable government sponsor regulations.
• Maintains National Industrial Security System (NISS) database (and/or successive systems), ensuring company records are up to date.
• Conducts government required self-assessments of the facility, records, systems, personnel records, etc; developing corrective actions when necessary.
• Participates in DCSA security assessments to include completing all pre-assessment documents as required by DCSA, and ensuring corrective actions are addressed as required.
• CAGE Code Management.
• Process incoming and outgoing Visit Requests.
• Manage/maintain the facility clearance documents (SF-86)
• Ensure the proper preparation and review of draft/original/revised DD254s.
• Assist with communications between the company and DCSA officials, prime and subs, and other security agencies as needed and/or as requested by the customer.
• Develop and provide security-related briefings and training.
• Develop and provide foreign pre/post travel briefings in accordance with government requirements.
• Facilitates all aspects of the security clearance investigation and adjudication process.
• Acts as a liaison with customer security POC when requested by Contracts or Program Management.
• Conducts security related surveys, audits, inspections, and assessments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 7 years security related experience working at the corporate level.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives and associated industrial security regulations, policies, and laws.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial security processes, procedures, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to effectively interface with various levels of employees and management.
• Experience with a FOCI company.
• Required certifications include: FSO (in accordance with NISPOM), DISS (and/or successive system), PII, Cyber Awareness.

Clearance requirements: Must have an active Top Secret US Government Security Clearance
