Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to):

  • Lead support for our Layered Process Audits; training, process review, establishing KPI’s and continuous improvement.
  • Lead support for our EASE LPA software which includes scheduling, application maintenance, building audit questions; reconfiguring our audit plan based on continuous improvement, mitigations, and risk opportunities.
  • Incoming, first sample, in-process, and final quality control material inspections. Make pass/fail decisions on inspected goods.
  • Assist in visually inspecting for defects or damage per Quality Control documents. Participate in Nonconformance investigations and corrective actions. Work closely with Operations, Engineering, or Supplier personnel to define/communicate any defects found
  • Assist in performing in process Quality inspections and testing per defined sample plan.
  • Support Quality Alert process for internal and external customer complaints, quality issues, and escalated incidents; provide onsite quality support in the case of emergency quality events or recalls.
  • Maintain and update Quality documentation, testing records/results
  • Participate in Quality and Product Development related trials, assist improvement projects, or other various duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail strongly required for primary job functions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Customer focused, team player, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to use computers for collecting and logging data; familiar with Microsoft Office productivity software (Excel, Word at a minimun

Desired Experience

  • Direct experience in manufacturing or warehouse Quality and/or audit experience.
  • Some knowledge of inspection & quality control methods, techniques, & equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings for machined parts a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry Quality Management System standards or ISO 9001 a plus.

Travel Requirement, Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Travel requirement:

  • Must be able to travel occasional by air as needed to attend training, conferences, and related activities.

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

Physical Demands:

  • Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient for daily inspection duites. Long sitting or standing could be required on a daily basis as part of the primary job function.

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
