Responsibilities

During this internship, students will work alongside various teams at different stages of the life cycle of our Identity Products that are used to create your license or ID card. Get real world experience helping with testing and debugging materials for their durability and performance, evaluate new equipment to test their compatibility with existing card materials and learn new analysis techniques that use statistics to make data driven decisions while working on solving supply chain challenges. From designing to development to testing to deployment and maintenance, wherever a student’s interests or specialties are, there is a place to excel here at IDEMIA!

Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to):

• Must be proficient with Windows as a desktop environment
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to read test plans and perform testing on materials and equipment

Qualifications

• You are a college junior, senior, or recent graduate majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Operations or a related field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Must be a US Citizen (no dual citizenship) and authorized to work in the US
• Willing and able to provide engineering expertise while participating in the planning, development, testing, and deployment of complex systems
• Desire to be flexible and work with different groups on varying projects
• Must be inquisitive and hardworking, with a true desire to learn and contribute to our systems and products
• Interest in new technologies and processes
• Ability to multitask and prioritize time accordingly
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and communication skills
• Interest in pursuing a career in Manufacturing Engineering

Travel Requirement, Working Conditions, and Physical Demands:

• Able to travel to our office in Springfield, IL each working day

• End Date: 9 months from start or until converted to full time
