IDEMIA is Hiring a Remote Global Vice President of Accounting

Responsibilities

As the Global Vice President of Accounting, you will play a critical role in leading and overseeing all accounting operations within our 1B global organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the company's financial activities comply with accounting standards and regulations. This includes managing the month-end financial processes, participating in financial negotiations with external partners, and facilitating successful audits. In addition, this role will be instrumental in reducing the number of ERP systems used globally and guiding ERP conversions. This role combines hands-on activities with the strategic design and implementation of an overall accounting structure.

  • Supervise the Global preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
  • Ensure that all month-end activities are accomplished on time with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings across the global organization.
  • Develop monthly management reports to measure accounting team performance
  • Ensure the proper recording of revenues and expenses
  • Manage the Accounts Payable, General Leger and AR functions on a global basis.
  • Work with the APAC Accounting Lead to expand the shared service function in Manila to handle transactional accounting where appropriate
  • Maintain proper inventory and Fixed Assets register and participate in annual board of surveys to conduct full asset verifications.
  • Analyze CAPEX payments, taxes, and dividends.
  • Assist in the preparation of IFRS standard annual statutory Financial Reports and local statutory and external audits, including year-end adjustments.
  • Maintain proper documentation related to areas of responsibility for audit purposes.
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met both internally and externally.
  • Lead ERP migrations for all accounting functions
  • Overall supervision of over 50 accounting personnel across the globe

Qualifications

  • CPA Certification: A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent is essential to demonstrate your mastery of accounting principles and commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
  • Expertise in IFRS: Your expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is crucial to ensuring the company's financial reporting aligns with international accounting standards.
  • Experience in accounting systems implementation and conversion
  • Experience in Process Improvement: You will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
  • In-Depth Understanding of Internal Controls: Your knowledge of internal controls is vital to safeguarding the company's financial integrity and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Your ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights will be essential for informed decision-making.
  • Experience managing remote teams across a global environment – we have activities in Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and North America
  • Strong Team building and communication skills
  • Candidate knows what GOOD looks like, and use take that knowledge to plan and implement required changes globally
