Responsibilities

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Cradle to grave contract lifecycle management through regular communications with stakeholders and updates to appropriate databases.
  • Manages proposal, contracting, and subcontracting processes from concept to completion, including active engagement in RFP/RFI process including but not limited to review of contractual issues and ability to highlight risks to proposal team.
  • Reviews contractual issues of proposed agreements. Revises and negotiates agreements to comply with Company policies, and to reduce risk. Prepares and negotiates modifications to agreements.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and interprets US Government, State and Local, and commercial contract terms and conditions.
  • Collects relevant information from internal stakeholders and/or other parties to ensure that agreements accurately reflect the nature of the desired collaborations and address relevant legal and/or compliance issues.
  • Assists and provides guidance to all business units.
  • Acts as a representative for designated contract awards and manages the assigned agreement workload. Manages special projects and other tasks as assigned.
  • Works proactively with internal teams to prepare necessary documentation, materials, or information in support of agreements.
  • Provides back-up support to colleagues on the Legal and Contracts Team.
  • Provides excellent customer service to business units and customers.
  • Ability to use and support contract management lifecycle tools, government schedules and other systems to manage day to day activity.
  • Supports contract and corporate compliance programs and initiatives. 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Significant experience working as a contracts professional. Federal Government contracting experience a plus. Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to identify areas of concern and risk in proposals and contracts and to communicate those risks and recommended mitigations to the appropriate team members. 
  • Ability to work effectively and build relationships with all levels of Company employees and interface with customers. Comfortable working in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communications (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working successfully with attorneys within a Legal function, with strong multi-function collaboration with Finance, Sales, Program Management, Security and Operations. 
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required. Contract Management certification highly desirable (CFCM, CPCM, etc.).
