About Ideal Move

Ideal Move is a senior move management company (not a moving company) dedicated to helping seniors through the downsizing and relocation process when they move to a smaller home, such as a retirement community. We manage and coordinate all aspects of the transition, from downsizing decisions, furniture placement design, logistics planning, packing services, home set up services, and estate cleanouts.

The Part-Time Project Manager Role

We are looking for a part-time project manager to meet with potential clients to present our services, provide a quote, and start the planning of all components of their move, including furniture choices and floorplan design. This is a great fit for people that like interior design, have strong interpersonal skills, organization skills, and enjoy helping people. This role will provide estimates on a variety of services we offer, including downsizing, floorplan design, packing, and unpacking services.

Most of our clients are older adults who have lived in their home for many years and they are downsizing to a smaller home. Our Project Manager will help them determine which of their current furniture to take into a smaller footprint and where they will be placed.

The work is primarily performed in people’s homes in the Jacksonville and St. Augustine area. Most of the work is currently East of the St. Johns river and towards the beaches.

Hours will vary by week and should be between 5 to 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

- Meet with clients in their homes

- Analyze client needs and develop customized solutions to meet their goals

- Maintain a strong understanding of the company's products and services

- Provide quotes to our customers

- Follow up with clients through the service delivery process

- Provide light interior design services such as furniture and new space measurements

- Work with our team to design the new furniture placement plan

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful project implementation

- Monitor and track client accounts, including sales performance and customer feedback

- Provide regular reports on account status, sales activities, and revenue projections

Requirements for success:

- Ability to build relationships with senior adults, many of whom are women

- Interest in helping others

- A caring approach to customer service

- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time

- Sales and follow up skills

- Ability to persuade others and overcome objections

- Enjoyment of meeting new people

- Interest, experience, or training in interior design

- Strong communication skills

- Reliable transportation and cell phone

- Skill in using Outlook email, Microsoft Word, and other systems

To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter highlighting your relevant experience in account management. Only qualified candidates with a cover letter will be contacted for an interview.
