Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Grocery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our grocery store. The Grocery Manager will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring excellent customer service, and maximizing sales and profitability.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all aspects of the grocery store, including inventory management, stocking, and merchandising
- Train, motivate, and supervise a team of grocery store employees
- Ensure exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate cash register operations
- Maintain proper inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and placing orders as needed
- Implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new employees
- Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all operating hours
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Experience:
- Previous experience in sales management within a grocery or retail environment
- Strong cash handling skills and experience with cash register operations
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of payroll procedures and experience with shift management
- Familiarity with interviewing techniques for hiring new employees
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
