We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Coordinator for a full-time, 40-hour per week role. This position requires a shift from 9:00 AM-5:30 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday, with slight variations to ensure comprehensive telephone coverage. The role primarily involves interactions with IDEAL Electrical, Industrial, OEM and Aerospace distributors and end users, as well as the IDEAL field sales team.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions):

    Respond to customer inquiries regarding product pricing, availability, order status, and general service-related issues via telephone or email.
  • Accurately enter customer orders using internal and/or external systems.
  • Manually correct customer orders placed via EDI.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, planners, logistics teams and facilities.
  • Collaborate with customer contacts to understand and meet their shipping requirements.
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous customer service and/or call center experience.
  • Strong writing, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in inside sales or channel/sales support is preferred.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus

  • Maintain a pleasant demeanor in a busy call center environment.
  • Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Team-oriented with the capacity to work successfully in a collaborative environment.
