College Success Intern - Financial Aid
Role Mission :

The College Success Intern is responsible for supporting administrative and logistical components of initiatives throughout the school year.
The intern will research and produce a database of findings to forecast affordable college pathways for students at IDEA Public Schools.

• 25 hours per week

Location:
This is a part-time remote position with occasional on-site requirements based in Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, Rio Grande Valley, and San Antonio.
In this role you will:

• Create tools to support the tracking and analysis of financial aid award letters for students in the Class of 2024, including aid received such as scholarships, loans and grants ,
• Track the progress of award letter collection completion and follow up on submission,
• Conduct an analysis of financial aid data to identify the colleges and universities with the strongest financial aid packages for low, middle and high income students,
• Plan and organize the spring No Award Letter campaign in the Spring/Summer 2024 to ensure 100% of students have an award letter for the college they will be matriculating
• Support with logistical aspects of select senior initiatives for the College Success, including College Signing Day and matriculation (if applicable )

Required e xperience :

• High School Diploma, associate or bachelor's Degree preferred
• Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint , and Word

Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate of $10 per hour.
