Job Description

The Early College Program Dual Credit Matriculation Coordinator will assist and advise Idaho high school students about secondary and post-secondary certificates and degrees and opportunities available to them at Idaho State University. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Reach out to current ECP students advising them about their current academic progress and future options for programs of study 
  • Provide academic advising to high school students in regard to taking classes on campus or in the high school
  • Provide academic advising for high school students working toward an Associate's Degree
  • Provide institutional resources and contacts to prospective students
  • Advise students and families about scholarships, grants, work-study and other relevant topics
  • Participate in campus recruitment events as a representative of the program
  • Participate in high school recruiting activities 
  • Analyze data and work with the Office of Admissions and Admission and Recruitment Coordinators to assist students’ matriculation to Idaho State University
  • Travel to local high schools within Eastern Idaho, giving presentations about the program as well as aid in course registration
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including but not limited to, students, parents, counselors, college and career advisors and administrators
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • At least one (1) year experience in any of the following: college admissions, recruitment, college advising, mentoring, or counseling secondary school students
  • Strong cross cultural, interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, including public speaking skills and ability to represent the University in a positive way to diverse populations
  • Must be willing to possibly work some nights and weekends 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrable success with recruitment and retention of high school or college students
  • Charismatic energy and passion for working with high school students, the ability to build strong relationships and a good understanding and working knowledge of college student development
Additional Information

Salary will be between $46,050 and $55,000 per year,commensurate with education and experience.
