Salary: Aligned to the Idaho State Dept of Education Career Ladder
2024-25 Work Contract: 186 Days

Position Summary
The High School Filmmaking/Broadcasting Teacher will develop students' skills and competence in video production courses. They will develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials, and present them using arts integrated instructional techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
-Current Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement
-Strong verbal and oral communication skills
-Self-motivated and strong analytical skills
-Attention to detail, prioritization skills, and time management
-Valid Idaho identification
-Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Major responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:-Manage the selection of instructional materials, technology, and equipment within the program
-Work with students on integrating media into the school day
-Evaluate student work and guide them toward meaningful projects
-Keep up to date with current trends, tools and best practices relating to digital storytelling and multimedia projects
-Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction and student learning
-Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed
-Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops, or professional meetings, or by conducting research
-Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents
-Ensures that student conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies, and establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom
-Coordinates with other professional staff members and participates in faculty meetings and committees
-Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal as designated by the Executive Director

Pay: $47,500.00 - $68,472.00 per year
