ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides direct clinical services including individual, family, and crisis intervention as clinically indicated.
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, and consults with supervisor as clinically indicated.
- Maintains clinical records in compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations as per the city Department of Mental Health, Mental Disabilities and Substance Use Services, the State Office of Mental Health, and the State of New York Department of Health.
- Complies with managed care requirements including consulting with care coordinators, obtaining treatment authorization, and providing necessary documentation.
- Participates in all mandatory agency training/in-service programs.
- Attends weekly individual supervision with clinical supervisor.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Ability to work under stress
- Ability to think clearly and handle crises.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize, think logically, and follow procedures and instructions.
- Demonstrates knowledge of, and supports, clinic mission, vision, and value statements, standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, colleagues, public, other agencies and their staff, and third party insurance personnel.
Education:LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAT certification in New York State.
Training and Experience: Successful completion of internship(s) during Master's program.
Fluency in additional languages, like Spanishor Russian, a plus.
Job Knowledge: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Cultural competency is essential. Capacity to handle a minimum caseload of at least 25.
