Time Type: Full time Department: 861 Development Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Switchware Card Administrator will be to monitor the IBC Switchware/Informix/AIX environments as well as the OnDot Card Control system. Building firm Relationships with the IBC vendors is paramount to the success of this position (CSFi, Jack Henry, NCR, Visa, OnDot). Assist in administering upgrades and patches under the guidance of the senior Administrator on the team. This will entail installing the release/patch to the test environment, test and document the results following the established Application Development Change Management Policy/Procedures. When concerns are brought to the attention of the team, critical thinking, attention to detail, communication and documenting the root cause and solution will be required. Assist in creating reports and databases when investigating any issues. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and maintaining a quality product is essential. Responsibilities: Monitor the IBC electronic funds transfer systems and their related components. Provide subject matter expertise for transaction processing questions and issues related to Point of Sale (POS), ATM-initiated transactions and OnDot Card Control. Plan, provision, and execute updates and upgrades to the Switchware/Informix/AIX and OnDot environments in coordination with other groups as necessary. Assist in trouble shooting card related issues that are reported by the Card Services Assist in requirement gathering, develop, test, and implement SQL scripts to satisfy customer requests, or improve system reliability / efficiency. Assist in the Administration effort for the Informix database server environment in coordination with the Informix vendor Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues Help maintain the quality of the IBC Debit/ATM card systems. Will be required to assist after hours when major outages occur, or updates are implemented. Communicate effectively with team members, customers, management, and other IT groups Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related Information Technology with 2 years’ experience in the Financial Industry. OR 4 years of Card Service experience will be considered in place of a bachelor’s degree. Skills Required: Proficient in ISO 8583 processing and electronic transfer, with a good knowledge of their ecosystems Knowledge of Debit Card processing and lifecycle of these transaction types Knowledge and understanding of Electronic funds transfer (EFT). Knowledge of banking principles and concepts. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products Preferred Qualifications: Ability to write basic SQL scripts when required by the business Knowledge of Informix 4GL, Informix SQL environments Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle process Familiar with Software Development Change Management procedures Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams Familiar with various design and architectural patterns Visual Studio IDE/code Debugging capabilities Efficient time management skills with ability to multi-task under pressure Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business needs Basic understanding of systems, API communications and integrations Experience implementing testing procedures and documenting results Self-motivated attitude with excellent work ethic Ability to work after hours and weekend occasionally for issue resolution or updates to the system.
