IBML is Hiring a Software Technical Trainer Near Birmingham, AL

PURPOSE:
The Technical Software Training Specialist is primarily accountable for developing and delivering instructor-led technical training to ibml customers, integrators and internal personnel. The Technical Training Specialist will deliver training at customer sites and ibml offices. The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for maintaining a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the mechanical and software functionality of all generations of the ImageTrac, Fusion, and Rapture scanners.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, design, maintain and implement IBML Software training curriculum, reference manuals, job aids, course syllabus, lesson plans, labs, daily and end of course reviews and other materials as appropriate including handouts, online tutorials and Power Point presentations
  • Develop, coordinate, evaluate and conduct all Software training programs associated with IBML products
  • Conduct training needs assessments as needed
  • Maintain Training database including; Training Requests, Course Schedule, Attendee Listing and Course Descriptions
  • Prepare training room and ensure operation of all audio visual equipment, training equipment, software prior to class arrival
  • Ensure that all documentation, web sites, training collateral and online tutorials contain complete, accurate and up-to-date technical information
  • Stay abreast of training alternatives by reading industry publications and internet training web sites, and by attending industry seminars
  • Continuously analyze and evaluate all aspects of training and documentation for enhancement opportunities and online training opportunities
  • Complete all class related administrative duties within specified time frames.
  • Complete all additional reporting and administrative duties within specified time frames
  • Develop eLearning content and curriculum for external and internal audiences
  • Provide input and suggestions for creative solutions to design and develop eLearning content including audio and video
  • Interact with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to identify, collect and develop content for training courses both instructor led and online
  • Develop learning objectives for each course and ensure content aligns with objectives
  • Provide input for eLearning modules to coordinate with software documentation
PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate Degree in Communication, Training or MIS or related field
  • Minimum 3 plus years in Technical Training
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning concepts
  • Audio and video production capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Word.
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to facilitate and coach learners is essential.
  • Excellent planning, observation, written and organization skills
