iAutomation is Hiring a Test Technician I Near Fond du Lac, WI

COMPANY:

opening for a Test Technician in Fond du Lac, WI. iAutomation’s product offering includes machine
control, motion control, sensing and vision, safety systems, mechanical components and stages. We
offer engineered systems and services to provide OEM and end user customers a complete automation
solution.
DESCRIPTION

Perform validation and acceptance testing of electrical control panels in a manufacturing environment.

Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings. Working knowledge of

electrical control panels and wiring is required. Troubleshooting and repair of defects is required.

Occasional travel to customer locations including overnight stays will occur.

  • Interface with Panel Designers and System Engineers
  • Visual inspection
  • Validate workmanship of completed panel assemblies
  • Point to point wiring validation
  • Power Up (line voltages up to 480 VAC 3PH)
  • Program downloads
  • Interconnecting field devices such as motors, sensors, switches
  • Perform system tests to validate correct device and system functions
  • Photo documentation of finished panel, mark-up of engineering drawings (red-lines) to “as-built”
and preparation of engineering change orders
  • Document test findings, and write and update test procedures
  • Manufacturing support as required

REQUIREMENTS & ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology or equivalent experience
  • 2 years’ experience in electrical testing in a manufacturing environment with a preference in

testing electrical control panels

  • Familiarity with UL XXX and IPC A620 preferred
  • Experience using standard tools for testing, including multimeters, etc.
  • Requires a thorough understanding/training in Lock-Out/Tag-Out
