Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of individuals who present for hospital emergency services and admission of inpatients. Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Implements directions from physicians and nursing staff.Requirements:1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Secretary preferredExperience with EMR strongly preferred (Athena a plus)Experience with Microsoft Office suiteEducation from approved medical administrative program or equivalent preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredSchedule: Part time: 24 hours / 7:30a-4:00p M, W, THSalary: $15.60 - $16.55 Steward Health Care is proud to be a minority, physician owned organization.
